1. Bullet Deep Tissue Massage
Periodically I utilize deep-tissue/deep-muscle massage to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia of a client’s body. These techniques require advanced training and a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology. The muscles must be relaxed in order to effectively perform deep-tissue massage, otherwise tight surface muscles prevent the practitioner from reaching deeper musculature. It helps with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation

  2. Bullet Hot Stone Therapy
I use smooth, hot basalt stones, placed on a client's body (which is covered with a towel or sheet to protect the client from the intense heat of the stones). Warm stones may be placed in the palms and/or between the toes. I may also use the hot stones to perform soothing, long massage strokes. The smooth texture of the stones facilitates the gliding process. Using various massage techniques & warm stones, relaxes the body at its deepest level.

  3. Bullet Reiki
Reiki is hands on healing and in Sanskrit it means compassionate healing. In a reiki session, I access and serve as a channel for the life force (ki or chi), placing my hands on or just above the client’s body in order to activate healing energy within receptive points on the body. My hands move progressively with a passive touch through twelve positions on the body, remaining in each position for three to five minutes.

  4. Bullet Sports Massage
Sports massage is designed to enhance athletic performance and recovery. I often work on swimmers at swim meets. Sports massage can be useful to an athlete in three contexts: pre-event, post-event, and injury treatment. Pre-event massage is delivered at the performance site, usually with the athlete fully clothed. It is normally fast-paced and stimulating to help blood flow and to warm up muscles. Post event is great to remove lactic acid  and other by-products of metabolism and usually done within 1-2 hours of competition or working out. This type of massage is great to reduce delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). If you want to know more about Sports Massage please give me a call.

  5. Bullet Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is designed to energize the body by stimulating circulation. Five basic strokes with the application of oil, to reduce friction on the skin, all flowing toward the heart, are used to manipulate the soft tissues of the body. The client is covered by a sheet or towel, with only the area being worked on exposed.   The multiple benefits of Swedish massage might include relaxation, reduction of scar tissue adhesions, and improved circulation, which may speed healing and reduce swelling from injury.

My Services and Benefits

At your place

For your comfort and convenience, I can transport a state-of-the-art massage table with extra padding with a Kur face rest and I bring a large selection of relaxing massage music on iPOD/speakers so that any room can have music. I use professional massage lotion and my own aromatherapy oils upon request. Other lotions/oils/gels can be used based on your desire.

I do request, to accommodate my massage table, that you have a clear space of at least 6'x10' so that I can provide a most effective massage for you. The more space I have to move around the table the more fluid your massage will become. Although I am a pet lover, I suggest that pets be put into another room away from the massage, so that I do not accidentally step on them or to prevent noises that detract from the massage.

Before getting a massage:

  1. Find a room that is quiet and spacious enough for massage

  2. Clear a space (if you can) for the massage table prior to my arrival

  3. Remove pets for safety and serenity purposes

  4. Take a warm shower 10 minutes before the massage to begin relaxing and warming the muscles

  5. Refrain from drinking alcohol or smoking cigarettes before the massage

  6. Light an aromatherapy candle...if you do not have one I can provide one for you

  7. Breathe deep and RELAX!
